Who are Market-Tours?

Having visited markets around the world we recognised the need for a market tour in Victoria. We have extensive hands on experience from touring many renowned markets, fairs and festivals, to being actual stallholders ourselves at various arts & craft markets right here in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Our experience together with the quality and variety of our markets, allows us to offer the best tour each day. You can be confident that we have carefully chosen the destinations and planned each tour to maximise everyone's enjoyment.

We will always strive to maintain our high standards and look forward to taking tourists and locals alike, to these often unvisited gems.

About your hosts

Laura Grace
Originally from the UK Laura has spent the last ten years in Melbourne and she is proud to say she is a true Aussie Citizen.

"My first year here was in 1997, which I spent having a ball as a young backpacker travelling all around Australia. Melbourne was the city where I felt most at home and I was lucky enough to be able to stay and unpack for good. I initially worked in the hospitality industry, a brief and very uneventful career in insurance and for the last seven years I have worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, fitness coach and group exercise instructor."

Jay Hayward
Jay did the opposite to Laura, being born in Perth, WA his English father took him back to England at an early age where he grew up in Somerset and London.

"After a career in the British Navy I returned back to Perth to get back to my roots and my Australian heritage (convicts). After two years doing 'hard yakka' in the Pilbara I set up my own stud farm just North of Perth and became qualified as an equine physiotherapist. This was just one of many ventures I have pursued (you should ask me about the wheel clamping co. or the pig manure truck). Safe to say I am definitely out there as the ideas man, which has led me to where I am today - Melbourne and the markets..."
